THE ILLITERATE FASHION EDITOR
That is I, Baily Rose. I studied & took notes & stuff on my cute little Steno Notepad I had gotten from my Grandma.... but I still couldn't figure out who the hell those old guys were (Monotonix) back stage everybody was taking pictures of. Matt: " They look pretty important." Me: "Yah.... they must be... hmmm... wonder who they are...?"
OUR FIRST INTERVIEW
This guy. I stopped him because I liked his outfit.
and his necklace.
I interviewed him with Adams "Choose Your Own Adventure" cards, which I'll post in a couple days. I need to figure out how I read the cards to him again. Let's just say, that by the end of the interview, we figured out that he didn't really need to make up a stripper name because the name "Robert D Spear" was already phallic enough, and his craziest show/experience ever was going to Boston, tripping LSD on a Rooftop while drinking Jameson and then taking the train back to New York at 9 AM.
I think he kind of looked like a hipster Brooklyn version of John Lennon. no?
We sang along to "If your motha only knew..." Old School.
He even held up a tape recorder at one point in the show and had the audience sing as he recorded.
He said he'd use it in a new song he was making.
I recored part of an interview with him, but then we ran out of memory and it cut out half way through. He's e.mailing me the rest of the interview in written form. I'll post that soon too.
THEN WE RAN INTO THIS DUDE, ERIC.
Matt ran into him last year when he was eating ice cream too. Random.

See this dude in the green sweatshirt? He was trying to pimp out his girlfriend to Benjamin Miller of HEALTH... so he could get closer to the music? Awesome. Looks like she's having a good time. I think Ben was a little confused/amused. Ben was super cool.
In the Neon Indian interview that will be posted as a feature (as soon as Alan gets back to me), you can hear Matt & Ben talking about some crazy story. Matt and I hung out with Ben for the rest of the night and watched Phoenix & Mars Volta with him while he told us how he used to watch Mars Volta back in the daayy before they were big in LA and stuff. Then we dropped him off at his hotel. He was nice. Like a big teddy bear but in actuality this crazy awesome drummer that likes the Hoppy Beer.
