Where is Illiterate: Space Update
It's approaching the 24 hour mark before Illiterate's grand unveiling: Where The Wild Things Art. As promised, we've been working away the days like a pack of meth addicted chimps getting the place ready for the HQ's big debut tomorrow — after a series of consecutive gallery "sleepovers" I think our crew supervisor, Sander Lindeke, may actually prefer a plywood box to a real bed. In the last two weeks, we called in the reinforcements for the final stretch and as of today, the sign is up, the place is painted and the walls are flat. just right to house some incredible art!

Sander Lindeke and Illiterate artist in residence, Rachel Paton, taking a minute to contemplate all the progress about to be made.

Rachel coating the reframed front door as handyman John looks on.

Pink is the new black. Black is the new white, and white is the new dark white.

Indoors, Sander, a professional house painter before he signed his life over to the cause, puts the final touches on the most difficult interior job he's ever done.

The official Mark Sink Stairwell, patched and sanded.

Also in the basement studio, fashion designer, Rise Tren, sewing some very special furry things for the big night tomorrow.

Back up top, our saintly electrician, Steve Arnold, tries not to get his wire's crossed. Oh and where did that cool square come from?

Outside Sander supervises, while Rachel begins branding the storefront.

"Push me..."

"And then just touch me..."

Till I can get my satisfaction..."
