- I'm Not Bad, I'm Just Drawn That Way
I'm Not Bad, I'm Just Drawn That Way
drink another glass of that aborigine liquid
the pulp of my virginity tweaked to inebriate you
made fresh from the juices of my fertility
served to you, alas, as you wished, always
you inconspicuously become cunning
beneath thoughtful eyes and leave me.
there's a trace of innocence across this lace
only tangible if you're as big a tease as i
i only kissed you so that i could see
what your eyes look like in the filter of desire
but when i did this, our eyes eclipsed
now you look completely different in every way.
i noticed when i awoke your lies stained the sheets
and i realized that i smell too much like you
and as you rolled over and looked at me i thought
neither of us will ever be able to clean this up
even if you set fire to your apartment or
if i use steel wool in a spermicide shower.
i'm not as bad as you think. i've just lived hard
i'm protected by my will to remain a little innocent
my details add up to an incomplete picture
our sum is bigger than our parts and
we are all prisoners of our disposition
you take like a scorpion and cut me to pieces.
